Coach Mike Dunleavy was 215-325 in 6 1/2 seasons on the bench, and Los Angeles made the playoffs just once in his first six seasons, getting within one game of the Western Conference finals in 2006. His been serving as the Clippers’ coach/general manager since Elgin Baylor left the club early last season, will retain his front-office title. The Clippers haven’t been back to the playoffs since, winning just 42 games in the past two seasons. But last Thursday, LA Clippers have decided to make a coaching change with just 32 games left in the season, relieving Mike Dunleavy of his duties. The Clippers began play Thursday with the 12th-best record in the Western Conference, seven games out of a playoff spot at 21-28.
